Contemporary Worship Team
For all high schoolers & adults • By audition & interview
Rehearsals Thursday • 6:45pm-8:15pm
Provides music for the Contemporary Worship Service each Sunday at 9am (warm-up at 8am)
MVBC Productions Crew
For all high schoolers & adults
By interview & assessment of aptitude.
Training on the equipment will be provided by the current team leaders. Provides technology support for Worship Services and special events including weddings, funerals, ministry events, etc. Rehearsals vary, but weekly rehearsals are required for those supporting the Contemporary Worship Services.
Drama Productions
For all adults
Rehearsals • Wednesdays • 6:30pm-7:30pm
Extended rehearsals & additional rehearsals as needed and scheduled for drama productions. Presents several productions each year, including Christmas, Easter, and dinner theater. Provides sketches for special events as requested.
Young At Heart Choir
For senior & retired adults
Rehearsals • Tuesdays • 10am-11am
Prepares music in the Fall for Christmas & Spring programs around Richmond. Provides 8-12 concerts every Winter & Spring at area nursing facilities & churches, including an annual trip to Williamsburg.
KidJam
1st-5th Grade • Wednesdays • 6:30pm-7:30pm
A production-based program in which the children participate in two presentations during the year: fall & spring. The children have the opportunity to sing during Sunday Worship Services throughout the year.
Handbells
For all youth (13+) & adults
Rehearsals • Sundays • 3:30pm-4:30pm
Rehearsals & performances are seasonal (Spring & Winter). Abilities in reading music in treble clef or bass clef & desire to develop as a musician are essential.
